The CFO maintains primary responsibility for the financial leadership, governance support, financial planning, operational stewardship, and long-term fiscal sustainability of JFC. •Responsible for the overall financial management of JFC, including accounting oversight, budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cash management, investment and endowment oversight, financial reporting, audit coordination, compliance, internal controls, donor-advised fund stewardship, and long-range financial planning. •Operating within JFC’s Shared Business Services (SBS) model, the CFO partners closely with the Managing Director on operational integration, shared systems, finance team alignment, and cross-functional collaboration while leveraging SBS infrastructure and organizational support capabilities. •This role requires a strategic, mission-driven, and collaborative leader who can effectively partner with executive leadership, volunteer leaders, affiliated organizations, community stakeholders, and external advisors while helping shape the future of the JFC and the broader Jewish community. •Executive Leadership & Strategic Partnership •Serves as a member of the JFC executive leadership team and Shared Business Services leadership team •Partners closely with executive and lay leadership to support organizational strategy, long-range planning, and financial sustainability Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required •CPA strongly preferred; MBA or other advanced degree preferred •Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience •Nonprofit, foundation, endowment, philanthropic, or community organization experience strongly preferred •Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with volunteer leadership, donors, and community stakeholders •In-depth knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, internal controls, and financial best practices •Demonstrated experience with financial systems, reporting platforms, and technology-enabled process improvement initiatives •Strong executive presence and ability to work effectively with volunteer and lay leadership Compensation: •$140,000 - $150,000 / year •Robust medical, dental, and vision insurance Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
