Asks questions regarding unclear information. •Evaluates the patient’s response to intervention and documents patient progress in the chart. •Instructs patients and parents in home programs including exercise, bathroom transfers, self-care/independent ADL programs, and school re-entry home programs. •Informs the occupational therapist of progress/problems with specific patients. •Performs care coordination tasks associated with patient care, including communication with hospital and community providers, tracking of medical equipment, etc. •Maintains current skills and knowledge by identifying own learning needs, both formally and informally, to practice a lifestyle of life-long learning. Seeks opportunity for clinical growth and development within the department through mentorship. •Pursues and achieves departmental competencies as assigned. •Attends in-services within the department and hospital as appropriate. Qualifications: •Associate's Degree Occupational Therapy Assistant - Required •Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required •Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex.
