Required Skills: •The Certified Medical Assistant is a key member of the Medicus Spine & Joint clinical team and works directly with physicians, advanced practice providers, chiropractors, specialists, and clinic staff to provide an efficient and professional patient experience. •This is more than a traditional rooming position. Our CMAs help keep the entire clinical day moving. •The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, preparing patients and exam rooms, obtaining accurate histories and vital signs, assisting providers with procedures and documentation, coordinating clinical orders, and anticipating what providers and patients need next. •Because we operate with streamlined clinic teams, we are looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, organized, and willing to take ownership rather than waiting to be directed from task to task. •Patient Care & Clinical Support •Greet, identify, and prepare patients for examination and treatment. •Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical history, medication information, allergies, chief complaints, and other required clinical information. •Prepare patients and examination rooms for physicians, advanced practice providers, chiropractors, and visiting specialists. Qualifications: •Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential or other companyapproved nationally recognized medical assistant certification. •High school diploma or equivalent. •Completion of an accredited or recognized Medical Assistant training program, as applicable to certification. •In-depth knowledge of medical terminology. •Demonstrated capacity to obtain and accurately document vital signs and patient information. •Comfortable working with electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems. •Strong computer and dataentry skills. •Professional verbal and written communication skills. •Demonstrated capacity to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. •Demonstrated capacity to perform the essential clinical functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
