Hiring: CAT Rental Store Technician Company: Ohio Cat Location: Broadview Heights, OH Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 15:02:35 About the job Required Skills: •Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, service, and repairs on rental equipment. •Troubleshoot and repair diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and related components. •Maintain and repair aerial work platforms, including boom lifts and scissor lifts. •Service forklifts, earthmoving equipment, and material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. •Utilize supplied diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and resolve mechanical issues. •Complete service documentation and maintenance records accurately and timely. •Follow all company safety standards, processes, and procedures. •Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers regarding equipment status and repair needs. Qualifications: •High school diploma or GED required. •Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on experience performing maintenance, service, and repair on aerial work platforms, material handling equipment, earthmoving equipment, or similar heavy equipment. •Solid functional working knowledge of diesel and gasoline engine diagnostics, maintenance, and repair. •Must provide and maintain a personal set of mechanic's tools required to perform job duties. •Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. •Demonstrated capacity to use computer-based diagnostic tools and systems. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Previous experience working in a rental equipment, heavy equipment, or construction equipment environment. •EEO, Veterans & Disabled Employer, and VEVRAA/503 Federal Contractor.
