If you thrive in an environment of innovation, accountability and mutual respect, you will find a good home here. •Advises students and alumni on variety of career readiness topics, including major/career choice, professional document development, interview skills, graduate school planning, and professional dress. •Interprets results of relevant career assessment instruments to assist clients in matching their personality, interests, values, and skills to career options. •Builds relationships with students, alumni, and employers to enhance career-related opportunities and partnerships. •Partners with faculty, student organizations, and campus stakeholders to embed career readiness skill development into the student experience. •Develops and delivers trainings, workshops, and presentations that enhance students’ understanding of career related topics, such as resume writing, interview, and job searching. •Networks with regional employers to build relationships and increase knowledge of current workforce recruiting, hiring, and market trends. •Promotes, networks, and participates in the execution of career fairs/events. Qualifications: •Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Counseling, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Student Personnel, or related field. •Two years experience providing one-on-one career development advising, including guidance on career pathways and skill development. •Nationally recognized career services related credentialing. •Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the position. •Knowledge of current workforce trends and employer expectations. •Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. •Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems •Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment. •Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups. •Demonstrated capacity to provide one-on-one and group career advising or coaching to college students and alumni.
