Required Skills: •Generates RFQ’s and places purchase orders, negotiates lowest cost and most favorable terms to support material demand requirements •Lead and oversee the acquisition of goods and services at the right time and acceptable quality •Must follow up on open purchase orders to ensure product is delivered timely •Lead and oversee supplier On Time Delivery (OTD) •Maintains relationships with suppliers, and recommends changes in purchasing procedures to improve service, and quality •Contributes to continuous improvement activities for the assembly MRP process •Resolves supplier invoicing issues and implements corrective actions to minimize future errors •Participates in daily and weekly production meetings to provide material parts status Qualifications: •Must be able read, write and communicate effectively in English •Excellent organizational and decision-making skills •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Prior experience in aerospace industry is a plus •Basic knowledge of technical blueprints, certifications and standards •Knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management System requirements (Preferred) •Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Windows and Microsoft (Excel and Word) •Proficient understanding of manufacturing, PCB or engineering processes (Preferred) •Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, Purchasing, Inventory Management, or a related field is preferred; or, Associate degree with significant relevant industry experience may be considered.
