Supervises, directs, counsels, disciplines, and evaluates assigned staff. •Coordinates daily work activities; organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; develops work schedules; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work; consults with assigned staff; assists with complex/problem situations; and provides technical expertise in assigned area. •Evaluates effectiveness of operations and programs in assigned areas; identifies and recommends improvements or other appropriate changes. •Develops, recommends, and implements long and short-term plans, goals, and objectives for assigned area. Qualifications: •Technical degree or apprenticeship in carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, or building construction trade; supplemented by college level course work or vocational training in business management or supervision •Supplemented by seven (7) years previous experience and/or training that includes building construction trades, project management, budget development, and management/supervision •Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. •Must maintain a valid state issued driver’s license. •Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to deal effectively with school personnel, Board members, parents, and community members. •Demonstrated capacity to operate, maneuver and/or control a variety of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials. •Demonstrated capacity to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; ability to calculate decimals, percentages, and fractions. •Demonstrated capacity to exercise judgment to determine the most desirable and cost-effective outcome for projects/jobs.
