Hiring: Broadcast Technology Specialist Company: Rocky Mountain PBS Location: Greeley, CO Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 14:20:31 Employment Type: Remote About the job Required Skills: •Actively facilitate and support operation, integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of broadcast automation systems and associated workflows. •Interface directly with Programming, Traffic, News, Development, and other teams to ensure schedules, content, and automation systems operate reliably. •Support traffic-system integration, schedule changes, program exceptions, metadata, and other systems involved in getting content to air. •Identify and resolve automation and playback problems and help improve operational workflows. •Install, maintain, and troubleshoot studio equipment, audio routing, AoIP systems, streaming systems, and related broadcast technology. •Provide hands-on technical support for studios, production facilities, and live or special-event operations. •Assist with equipment installation, cabling, configuration, preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and technical projects. •Assist the Director and other broadcast engineers with transmission facilities, remote sites, and field response as needed. Qualifications: •Operational familiarity with broadcast automation systems and workflows. Experience with WideOrbit Automation is preferred; experience with comparable automation platforms is welcome. •Operational familiarity with professional audio systems, signal flow, digital audio, cabling, and troubleshooting. •Operational familiarity with Telos/Axia AoIP systems is preferred; experience with other AoIP, digital console, or audio-routing platforms may be considered equivalent. •Basic understanding of computer systems and IP networking, with the ability to troubleshoot routine connectivity and technology problems. •Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems and technologies. •Demonstrated capacity to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff. •Valid driver's license and ability to travel to station facilities and remote sites throughout Colorado. •Demonstrated capacity to participate in scheduled on-call and occasional after-hours work following appropriate training. •A cover letter detailing how the applicant's qualifications fit the needs of RMPM and information on how the applicant found out about the job opening. •A resume detailing education, training, and employment experience.
