Required Skills: •Support day to day operations of station including all daily news operations, equipment, and computer-based IT systems. •Install and maintain broadcast and IT equipment at studio facilities, transmitter site, in remote broadcast vehicles, and at other remote locations. •Troubleshoot equipment issues, making repairs or implementing workarounds as needed. •Perform routine security updates and reboots of broadcast servers. •Contribute to technical documentation that accurately represents installed equipment. •Occasional field work on remote productions. •Minor building-related maintenance tasks occasionally required. Qualifications: •Strong organizational, communications, and time-management skills. Able to work efficiently without direct supervision. •Demonstrated capacity to work well under pressure, take initiative, and work well with others. •Solid understanding of current computer hardware, network technologies, and Microsoft’s Active Directory environment. •Demonstrated capacity to plan technical projects and clearly communicate the status of problems, provide updates to progress on projects, and offer solutions to technical issues. •Demonstrated capacity to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Available on call. •Demonstrated capacity to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces, pull and install wiring, use hand and power tools, work on small components, and perform other physical tasks.
