Hiring: Benefits Coordinator, (9013) Company: Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington Location: Washington, DC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 15:15:02 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Medicare About the job Experience: •2 years direct work experience in benefits administration. •Basic Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, Section 125, Workers’ Compensation, Medicare, and Social Security and DOL requirements. •Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment. •Robust Professional development and training opportunities •Medical, prescriptions, dental and vision insurance Required Skills: •Join us in Inspiring Hope and Building Futures. •The Benefits Coordinator assists employees with benefits enrollment, and benefits questions, manages all insurance billing, maintains employee database and files, assists with payroll processing, and assists with reconciling monthly invoices. •Support and maintain the tenets of the Catholic Church within the Benefits plans, including the Catholic Church’s expressed views on promoting and maintaining life and the rights of the unborn. •Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 403(b), and wellness benefits. Provide customer service support to internal and external customers. •Act as the first-line contact between Catholic Charities and external benefit vendors, administrators, brokers, and the Archdiocese of Washington. •Act as liaison with benefit vendors, payroll, human resources and the Archdiocese of Washington to facilitate resolution of employee benefits issues. •Review and submit benefit correspondence to vendors. •Provide detail-oriented administrative support services in processing the following benefits transactions. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field OR High school diploma and at least 5 years of experience in day-to-day benefits administration. •PHR, CBP or CEBS certification preferred.
