Required Skills: •Prioritize safety in all lab work, from test setup and battery operation through end-of-life teardown and post-test investigation. •Execute and interpret electrochemical tests on iron electrodes and cells in lab- and large-scale test vehicles — with support from senior engineers early on and growing independence as you develop. •Prepare and characterize electrode samples pre- and post-test (for example SEM, EDS, BET, XRD, PSA) in collaboration with our internal material experts. •Support and help improve electrochemical testing by writing and running test protocols, troubleshooting failures, and maintaining cells on test. •Wrangle and organize data from test stands and electrochemical cells, help identify trends, and provide regular data updates to the team to enable data-based decisions. •Build your technical foundation in Form's anode technology and contribute to team problem-solving, proposing improvements to methods and analyses as you grow. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree (Master's a plus) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. •A foundational understanding of electrochemistry and/or materials science and a hands-on aptitude for lab work; for Engineer II, some hands-on experience running electrochemical tests or materials characterization. •For Engineer II, some experience with aqueous (water-based) battery systems: full cells or flow cells. •Comfort handling and analyzing data; familiarity with a scripting or statistical tool (Python, JMP, or similar) is a plus. •Some familiarity with SQL fundamentals and extracting data from databases is a plus. •High attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills. •A growth mindset and a preference for experiential, hands-on learning, with the ability to take direction and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and technicians. •Humanity is a cornerstone of Form Energy’s culture, and we make sure our compensation and benefits reflect that.
