Hiring: Avionics Project Engineer Company: Astrion Location: Colorado, United States Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:14:16 Employment Type: Full-time / Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : Aerospace Engineering, Agile, Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Office, Program Management, Risk Management, Security Clearance, Systems Engineering About the job Experience: •8+ years of experience in avionics systems engineering, software systems engineering, or technical program management within space or launch environments Required Skills: •8+ years of experience in avionics systems engineering, software systems engineering, or technical program management within space or launch environments •Extensive knowledge of launch vehicle avionics systems •Operational familiarity with USSF, NRO, NASA, and major launch vehicle contractors •Skilled in supporting hardware reviews, delivering technical presentations, and collaborating with multi-agency teams •Proficiency in MS Office, IT systems, and collaborative tools such as Jira/Confluence •Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a high-stakes environment •Background in agile development environments and collaborative engineering databases (e.g., SharePoint, Jira, Confluence) •Support Launch Service Provider mission assurance by evaluating avionics systems, components, architectures, and cost/technical/schedule/performance factors Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a STEM discipline (Master’s preferred) •Active Secret Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
