Hiring: Avionics Engineering Lead (Space Suits) Company: Axiom Space Location: Houston, TX Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 13:47:56 Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly About the job Experience: •Comfortable driving forward and delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments •Demonstrated capacity to communicate and problem-solve proactively Required Skills: •Provide technical oversight of program-wide avionics functions and design to support Axiom’s EVA System as it evolves from development to production and testing. •Coordinate and plan tasks with Avionics Team to meet program development plan and schedule. •Partner cross-functionally with the Office Chief Engineer to provide Avionics support on EVA system. •Provide mentorship to engineering staff as part of the Power Avionics and Controls team. •Manage the overall avionics architecture and drive sound technical decision making. •Participate in all aspects of avionics development from design to certification and flight. •Design spaceflight rated PCBs for critical life support systems. •Design instruments including FPGAs, microprocessors, power, and analog components.
