Required Skills: •We are seeking a highly technical Systems Engineer to lead the definition, architecture, and development of next-generation vehicle features from concept through production. This role focuses on early-stage systems engineering and feature development rather than primarily software testing or validation. •The position will translate customer and business needs into system requirements, functional specifications, logical architectures, and software implementation requirements while working across software, electrical, mechanical, and vehicle integration teams. •This is a hybrid position requiring four days per week in the office, Monday through Thursday, in Dearborn, MI. •Develop system architectures and define vehicle feature behavior. •Write engineering requirements, functional specifications, and implementation specifications. •Create System Boundary Diagrams, DFMEAs, and other engineering quality documentation. •Develop verification plans and support functional safety and cybersecurity assessments. •Support software implementation through detailed functional specifications. Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline. •In-depth knowledge of the Systems Engineering V-Model. •In-depth knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, including networking, wiring, power distribution, body systems, chassis systems, and CAN communication. •Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
