Hiring: Autobody Technician Company: NJ TRANSIT Location: Newark, NJ Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:08:32 About the job Experience: •21 years of age •At least 21 years of age Required Skills: •Demonstrated capacity to perform body work and accident repairs. •Demonstrated capacity to lay out work, fabricate items as needed, and assemble same. •Demonstrate ability with the use of tools - hydraulic pistons, come-a-longs, - porta-powers, frame straightening devices, etc. •Must be able to remove, replace and/or align all body parts and components that are fastened on the bus (MCI, Nova, Neoplan, and Nabi Coaches). •Must be able to work in confined areas using respirators and full air supplied self-contained overalls. •Demonstrated capacity to fill and sand body parts and fiberglass. •Must be able to cut and tack weld. •Must be able to fill out forms; be able to read and understand parts manuals required in carrying out duties for this position.
