Hiring: Audio Manager Company: The University of Texas at Austin Location: Austin, TX Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 10:33:51 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : CV, Slack, Zoom About the job Experience: •2 years of professional experience in the field of audio. •2 years of experience working in audio studios, broadcast studios, or similar environment •2+ years of experience in live video broadcast, and the operation of audio or video production equipment. •2+ years of professional experience using Dante, NDI, or AVB networking protocols. •2+ years of professional experience using Yamaha digital mixers. Required Skills: •Oversee the operation of studio and field audio production needs. Works as lead audio engineer on studio and location productions, including preproduction, planning and implementation. Mix and master productions in post-production as needed •Project manage A/V productions and facilitate client communication and satisfaction, including estimates, planning, scheduling, and invoicing •Research, manage, implement, and maintain audio technology for all studios in LAITS •Assists with the continued development and implementation of studio and field-based production processes, workflows, documentation, and scheduling •Provide training on all aspects of audio production and technology for Student Technology Assistants •Maintain studio infrastructure and equipment inventory, diagnose problems, troubleshoot solutions, and ensure all studios are running as intended daily Qualifications: •Strong knowledge of audio equipment, including mixers, microphones, loudspeakers, and peripherals •Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. •Demonstrated capacity to demonstrate a strong team-oriented approach, fostering collaboration and effective communication with colleagues across various departments •Solid functional working knowledge of industry trends and best practices related to event production and production-related equipment. •Proficiency in collaborative tools, including Slack, Microsoft Office suite, Google Workspace, and Zoom •Demonstrated capacity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. •Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. •Bachelor's Degree in related field.
