Hiring: Associate Vice President, Corporate Accounting Company: Ares Management Location: Los Angeles, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 14:30:02 Target Skills & Keywords : Project Management About the job Experience: •10+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting •Both public and private accounting experience preferred •Minimum 5 years in a similar capacity •Financial services industry experience preferred •Applied hands-on capability in ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion Required Skills: •Reviewing journal entries, expense allocations and balance sheet reconciliations •Reviewing expenses to ensure proper accounting •Preparing variance analyses and other ad hoc financial metrics •Overseeing quarterly update of G&A expense forecast •Perform analytics and derive conclusions from data to help facilitate business decisions •Manage a team consisting of offshore and onshore resources working in various time zones •Assist in managing external auditors as well as internal audit and tax relationships •Contribute to various special projects including capital transactions, acquisitions, and process improvements to improve overall group efficiencies Qualifications: •A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is considered a plus. •Hands-on, independent contributor that is comfortable directing activities of others •Demonstrated capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment •Desire to own your area of responsibility •Proactive in nature and a proven ability to learn quickly, display flexibility and adaptability while resolving issues with minimal supervision •Dependable, positive attitude, highly motivated and a team player •Strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to learn •Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to communicate well with members of different groups throughout the organization •Demonstrated capacity to identify and analyze problem situations and develop an effective course of action •Demonstrated capacity to successfully manage multiple priorities and competing demands, excellent time/project management and prioritization skills Compensation: •$165,000 - $185,000 / year •Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
