Hiring: Associate Utility Designer (Hybrid Schedule) Company: Eversource Energy Location: Berlin, CT Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 14:56:21 Target Skills & Keywords : AutoCAD About the job Experience: •Zero (0) Two (2) years of directly related utility design, wiring or technical experience preferred. •Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required. •Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. •Build trusting relationships •Manage and develop people Required Skills: •Develop detailed engineering designs using computer-aided techniques. •Develop final detailed design packages for projects through discussions and meetings with appropriate engineering & construction personnel, design disciplines, and outside vendors. •Prepare conceptual designs and sketches based on field investigations, project scope, and engineering criteria supplied by project/discipline engineers. •Perform field visits during the design process to verify site conditions, resolve field issues and verify the accuracy of the design. •Provide guidance, training, and direction to design drafters in the development of finished drawings. •Perform technical calculations for substation designs. •Prepare, approve, and maintain bills of materials and other supporting documents associated with the design drawing development. •Process, review, and approve design changes to accommodate field-related problems Qualifications: •Associate of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology. •Individual must hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
