Required Skills: •Nova Biomedical is seeking an Associate Scientist to join a multidisciplinary team responsible for the research and development of chemical and biological sensors, assays, and reagents used in clinical analyzers and instrumentation. •Conduct research and development activities within assigned areas under general supervision using established methodologies. •Actively facilitate and support development of chemical and biological sensors, assays, and reagents for clinical analyzers and instrumentation. •Perform laboratory experiments involving organic synthesis and related scientific techniques. •Use analytical techniques such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, and Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry to characterize organic compounds. •Accurately record, organize, store, summarize, and evaluate experimental information and data. •Maintain complete and accurate laboratory records in accordance with established documentation practices. •Develop laboratory skills and familiarity with equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and raw-data collection. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline. •0 to 2+ years of relevant professional experience. •Hands-on laboratory experience in organic synthesis or a related scientific field. •Operational familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC, FT-IR, and LC-MS/MS preferred. •Demonstrated capacity to perform general laboratory procedures and use laboratory equipment safely and accurately. •Demonstrated capacity to collect, record, organize, and summarize experimental data. •Demonstrated capacity to identify routine laboratory problems and recommend potential solutions. •Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate laboratory records. •Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. •Operational familiarity with laboratory statistical programs preferred.
