Hiring: Associate or Assistant Director of High School Placement Company: Alexander Twilight Academy Location: Boston, MA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 18:24:40 Employment Type: Full-time / Remote About the job Experience: •3-5 years of professional experience in schools, nonprofits and/or the public sector is preferred. •5 years of professional experience in schools, nonprofits and/or the public sector is preferred. Required Skills: •Lead engaging and informative high school placement classes. •Prepare students for success in the high school application process via interview prep and support with application materials. •Help to ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks related to independent school applications, such as interview scheduling and supporting financial aid forms. •Support logistics for ATA high school placement events, including visits to high schools and SSAT exam administration. •Collect and securely track all application materials and high school placement data. •Serve as an ambassador for ATA by attending independent school fairs and meeting with high school partners. •Support with additional projects as needed to support a fast-paced, growing organization. Qualifications: •You are firmly committed to educational access, equity, social justice, and ATA’s mission and vision. •You have worked in a school setting and ideally have experience or interests in admissions work. •You have familiarity with the landscape of independent schools in New England and/or Boston Public Schools. •You are steeped in process, are highly organized, and have a strong attention to detail. •You are receptive to feedback and unafraid to take proactive steps to make improvements and/or solve problems. •You are a successful multi-tasker and thrive when managing concurrent projects under tight deadlines. •You are an excellent communicator and can confidently build relationships with students, families, and external partners from diverse backgrounds. •Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s in Education or Counseling preferred. •At least 3-5 years of professional experience in schools, nonprofits and/or the public sector is preferred. •Excellent written and oral communication skills.
