Hiring: Associate, Legal Entity Controller Company: Cantor Fitzgerald Location: Jacksonville, FL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 11:43:43 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Capital Markets, Fixed Income, Microsoft Excel, Project Management About the job Experience: •2-4 years of related experience in the financial accounting group of a financial services company •4 years of related experience in the financial accounting group of a financial services company Required Skills: •Legal Entity Controller is an integral member of the finance team, reporting to Financial Controller, participating in the accounting and finance processes and controls over internal and external financial reporting. •Provide legal entity controller and financial support for Cantor’s broker-dealer/security-based swap dealer (SBSD) and special purpose acquisition companies (SPAC) entities under U.S. GAAP •Liaise with Corporate Accounting, Legal, Tax, Technical Accounting, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Product Control, Operations, FP&A, and Cash Management in order to ensure proper accounting •Spearhead and provide financial and advisory support for new and existing transactions and entity structure changes impacting the firm •Lead and oversee month/quarter-end close process of journal entries associated with investing activities, financing activities, expense accruals, intercompany activities, cash activities, and income taxes •Lead and oversee quarterly waterfall calculation and wire payments as well as other ad-hoc capital transactions •Prepare quarterly reviewed broker-dealer financial statements for external financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP •Prepare Forms 10-Q and 10-K as well as other recurring and ad-hoc SEC filings required for Cantor’s SPACs such as Forms 8-K, S-1, S-4, 424B Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required •Minimum 2-4 years of related experience in the financial accounting group of a financial services company •Big Four public accounting firm experience preferable •Technical knowledge of accounting and financial reporting •Oracle, ESSBASE, HFM experience preferable •Advanced analytical and Excel capabilities, project management skills, and ability to multitask •Strong analytical problem solving skills, critical thinking, team oriented views, attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills, business writing and project management Compensation: •Flexible work environment (work from home / hybrid options) Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
