Required Skills: •Provide legal advice and support on all aspects of day-to-day operations and governance for Bessemer Trust’s private and registered funds. •Provide legal advice and support with respect to Bessemer Trust’s Family Company Advisory services. •Advise investment teams on legal and regulatory issues relating to trading and operational matters. •Advise on, review, and oversee the preparation and filing of various regulatory filings and reports (Forms ADV, CRS, Reg D, 13H, 13F) under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. •Advise on, review, and oversee real estate lease agreements and related property matters, ensuring alignment with Bessemer Trust’s real estate objectives. •Partner cross-functionally with compliance professionals on policies and procedures in core areas of focus. •Stay current on industry trends, regulations and best practices related to core areas of focus and contribute to regulatory change management efforts. •Coordinate with external legal counsel and other service providers as necessary. Qualifications: •JD from an accredited law school, and member in good standing of the New York bar required. •Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills; ability to distill complex concepts into discernable terms. •Prudent and practical judgment and high level of integrity. •Proactive in approach with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams; excellent interpersonal and client service skills. •Demonstrated capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. •Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and critically to solve issues with innovative solutions, and with the focus and agility to drive execution on key priorities. •Established in 1907 as the family office for Annie and Henry Phipps, Bessemer Trust is in its seventh generation of ownership by the Phipps family.
