Required Skills: •Performs as a specialist in employee benefits and executive compensation law and provides technical and expert legal services to Exelon business units. •Under minimal supervision, plans, conducts and supervises large and highly complex legal assignments; evaluates both legal and business risks and advises clients, accordingly; represents Exelon as the subject matter expert in M&A transactions, contract negotiations, audits, litigation and other relevant matters. •Provide legal advice for Exelon’s employee benefit plans and compensation programs, including defined benefit pension, defined contribution retirement, non-qualified (SERP and deferred compensation), health and welfare, long and short-term incentive, and severance. •Draft and review plan and program documents, summary plan descriptions, and employee communications. •Counsel ERISA plan fiduciaries, including conducting fiduciary training. •Advise on ERISA claims and appeals. •Subject matter expertise in ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, Mental Health Parity, 409A, and related laws. •Prepares, and revises as necessary, budgets and early matter assessments for all matters involving outside counsel. Qualifications: •An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions. •At least 7 to 10 years of professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation law. •Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of the legal field to the completion of complex assignments. •Requires excellent legal research, analytical abilities and on ongoing knowledge of federal or state law. •Demonstrated capacity to learn, adopt, and leverage AI-enabled tools to support research, drafting, and analysis while applying sound professional judgment.
