Hiring: Assistant Financial Controller Company: Crypto.com Location: Chicago, IL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:58:05 Employment Type: Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : AI, CV, Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Regulatory Compliance, SAP, Vendor Management About the job Experience: •9 years of progressive accounting experience, including a combination of public accounting and industry roles Required Skills: •Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for U.S. and Canadian entities, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to close calendars •Review and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analyses across multiple legal entities •Prepare consolidated and standalone financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including footnote disclosures •Manage intercompany recharges, settlements, and eliminations across the Crypto.com group •Research and document positions on complex or emerging accounting issues (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 810, ASC 842, digital asset accounting) •Draft and maintain accounting policies and position memos; present conclusions to the Financial Controller and external auditors •Monitor new accounting standards and assess their impact on the U.S. entities •Design, implement, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university •CPA designation (active) •5–9 years of progressive accounting experience, including a combination of public accounting and industry roles •Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with experience researching and resolving technical accounting issues •Prior experience supporting or managing external audit engagements •Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills •Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Demonstrated people leadership experience — managing, developing, and holding team members accountable •Solid functional working knowledge of CFTC, NFA, or SEC regulatory reporting requirements Compensation: •$100,000 - $145,000 / year •401(k) plan with employer match Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
