Theme Park specific experience, in such areas as Show Action Equipment (SAE) and/or ride systems, is highly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Skills: •Makes direct engineering contributions to projects as required relative to engineering, code and standards compliance, Universal Specification compliance, and technical systems achievement of creative and business goals. •Review/approve all Ride/Show scope of work and RFPs. •Reviews/develops the technical plans and progress for UC projects as assigned. Enforces Universal's specifications, standards, and technical contracting methods. •Leads the project technical team in assessing and mitigating technical and schedule risk. •Leads the project team to achieve California DOSH sign off of new attractions. •Assists with Universal Patent pursuit and defense. •Oversee ADA compliance for Shows and Rides. Develop and execute innovations/inventions that provide increased accessibility. •Drive safety improvements across project. Monitor compliance with regulations and internal standards; develop new safety technologies; and ensure that safety protocols reflect theme park best practices and cutting-edge ideas. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred. •Demonstrated success in managing teams, including direct reports, & acting as in-house mentor. •Demonstrated capacity to achieve results through flawless execution of strategies & objectives. •Demonstrated capacity to strategically forecast and solve issues before they become problems. •Demonstrated capacity to measure team’s performance against project goals/objectives. •Mentoring & coaching strengths in promoting growth & cohesion of the team. •Demonstrated capacity to balance schedule, budgets, and technical milestones Compensation: •$145,000 - $185,000 / year Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
