Hiring: Assistant Critical Facilities Manager Company: Core Scientific Location: Dalton, GA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 14:31:00 Employment Type: Remote About the job Experience: •3+ years’ experience in mission-critical environments, required. •1+ year(s) of direct management of non-exempt shift-based employees, required. Required Skills: •Assist in the management of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems. •Build a staff of technicians with the necessary skill sets to accomplish data center operations that deliver total availability (100% uptime) while minimizing risks for customers. •Manage power and cooling capacity and monitor environmental conditions within data halls. •Work shifts to support 24/7 data center operations, have flexibility in work hours to cover other shifts, and support maintenance activities, as needed. •Resolve all electrical, mechanical, and fire protection system issues in the data center while minimizing risks and communicating issues to management and customers. •Assist in a leadership capacity, coordinating data center construction and commissioning, and overseeing the transition from construction to sustainable operations. •Review results from preventive maintenance inspections and provide guidance on how to address issues found. •Assume an ownership stake in the ongoing evolution and operation of the facility's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study, technical school with an emphasis on mission-critical operations or high-performance manufacturing, relevant military operations, or equivalent experience is required. •Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required for interacting with internal employees and leaders, and external contractors and customers. •Strong analytical and decision-making skills are required for understanding and evaluating complex problems, including analyzing a situation, identifying solutions, and selecting the best solution. •Demonstrated capacity to operate effectively in high-pressure, mission-critical environments. •Able to understand and train others on electrical and mechanical systems, as well as other technical aspects of critical systems management. •Able to read and understand complex drawings, systems, and other documentation. •Reports To Manager, Critical Facilities •Occasional travel between data centers may be required as needed.
