Hiring: Assistant Controller Company: Solomon Page Location: Boca Raton, FL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 13:09:55 Employment Type: Full-time / Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Excel About the job Experience: •5+ years of progressive accounting experience who is comfortable operating in a multi-entity environment and can balance detailed accounting responsibilities with broader financial analysis. •5+ years of progressive accounting experience Required Skills: •Oversee and drive the month-end close process, ensuring financial results are accurate and delivered within established deadlines •Review general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting financial schedules •Assist with the preparation and review of monthly financial reporting and management-level financial packages •Actively facilitate and support annual budgeting process, working with department leaders to develop assumptions and establish appropriate expense targets •Analyze budget-to-actual results and communicate meaningful variances, trends, and financial drivers •Maintain and evaluate expense allocation methodologies across departments, entities, and cost centers •Partner with accounting and operational teams to investigate discrepancies and improve financial reporting accuracy •Assist with annual audit activities and provide supporting schedules and documentation Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field •Strong experience with month-end close and financial reporting •Background working in a multi-entity environment strongly preferred •In-depth knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statements •Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and financial models •Highly analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities •Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both accounting and operational teams •Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines •If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
