Required Skills: •The Assistant Area Supervisor/Assistant Construction Manager assists the Area Managers by managing designated field activities associated with the project and supervising designated field construction work done by subcontractors and employees. •Participates in preconstruction planning, when possible, regarding the project schedule and budget. •Reviews project estimates and cost control system at the beginning of the project. •Arranges subcontractors and vendors to commence the work on site. •Sets up the site condition such as preparation ofnecessary office, utilities and permits. •Understands project specifications, the contract, and the contract’s general conditions; confirms that all materials and subcontract work comply with contract documents and quality specifications. •Ensures all materials are properly tested according to specifications and will ensure all test results are properly recorded. •Supervises the site inspection which is arranged by subcontractors and vendors to maintain the quality of work. Qualifications: •Associates Degree or higher in Construction Management, construction / manufacturing related engineering, or a related field preferred especially for civil & building work for factory construction, or a combination of experience and education. •Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial/construction field. •Industrial construction or/and mechanical installation experience preferred. •Operational familiarity with a wide variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures •Solid functional working knowledge of construction contract language and terms •Demonstrated capacity to make decisions under tight deadlines. •Show attention to detail in all aspects of the job and havecreative problem-solving skills. •Demonstrated capacity to organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results. •Solid functional working knowledge of and ability toapply OSHA safety standards. •Exhibits commitment toquality by evaluating project-related processes and making necessary changes, using customer input to make improvements, and meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
