Required Skills: •As an Applications Engineer, you will need to formulate an engineered estimate and or budget for new and existing clients that shall be provided by consultants, engineers, construction managers, general contractors and also from in-house Sales Representatives, Key Account Representatives and or Project Managers. •Analyze and interpret blueprints, specifications, and scope documents for fire and security system projects. •Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment for alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and other low-voltage installations. •Conduct take-offs and identify potential value-engineering alternatives to reduce costs without sacrificing quality. •Partner cross-functionally with vendors and subcontractors to source competitive pricing. •Develop bid proposals, ensuring all required documentation is submitted on time. •Partner with sales and project management teams to ensure seamless project handoffs. •Maintain an up-to-date pricing database. Qualifications: •In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, including NFPA and NEC. •Demonstrated capacity to read and interpret detailed construction drawings and scope documentation. •High level of organization and accuracy with strong attention to detail. •Excellent communication and time management skills. •NICET Certification- Fire Alarm Systems Level III or higher, preferred.
