Hiring: Applications Engineer Company: Actalent Location: Camarillo, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 11:32:21 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly, AutoCAD, CAD, SolidWorks, Systems Engineering About the job Required Skills: •Review customer requests ranging from simple fittings and welded components to more complex fluid-system assemblies. •Develop detailed quote documentation, including pricing, delivery timelines, availability, and basic technical requirements. •Create and modify 3D CAD assembly models and technical drawings in SolidWorks for solutions that require formal documentation. •Interpret P&IDs to understand system operation, component placement, and component function within fluid systems. •Evaluate engineering considerations such as flow, pressure, material compatibility, installation constraints, and overall fit of components and assemblies. •Work closely with account managers, sales, production, and assembly teams to move solutions from concept through build, testing, and delivery. •Participate in customer calls to clarify requirements for complex systems and ensure alignment on technical expectations. •Travel to customer sites in Southern California for technical support, field-service evaluations, ride-alongs, and customer meetings. Qualifications: •Engineering education with practical experience applying engineering principles in a work environment. •Interest in working across multiple industries, including aerospace, semiconductor, clean energy, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and industrial markets. •Demonstrated capacity to prepare clear, concise technical reports and findings for customers. •Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, quotes, and customer interactions in a fast-paced environment. •Motivation to pursue specialized training and certifications related to fluid systems and field engineering. •Desire to grow into advanced technical or leadership roles within a culture that supports internal promotion and career development. •This is a Permanent position based out of Camarillo, CA.
