Required Skills: •80% – Appeals Operations & Case Support •Provides administrative and procedural support to Hearing Officers throughout the appeals process. •Reviews appeals filings and case materials for completeness and identifies missing documentation or procedural issues requiring follow-up. •Coordinates scheduling of hearings, pre-hearing conferences, and related proceedings. •Prepares and manages case files, exhibits, correspondence, notices, and other records associated with appeals proceedings. •Drafts routine correspondence, procedural notices, scheduling communications, and other documents for review and issuance by Hearing Officers. •Maintains and updates case management systems and tracking tools to ensure accurate and timely case processing. •Monitors appeal timelines and supports compliance with statutory, regulatory, and procedural deadlines. Qualifications: •Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. •Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland. •All candidates are subject to a background check against files maintained by the Division of Unemployment Insurance (Labor/DUI) to determine whether any monies are owed to Labor/DUI as a result of unemployment insurance overpayment/fraud.
