Required Skills: •The position can be hired as an Analyst I (GL3), Analyst II (GL4), and Analyst III (GL5). Individuals who demonstrate advanced skills in terms of work experience, education, and certifications may be eligible for the more advanced position. •To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill(s), and/or ability required. •Track and summarize new and existing regulations and rulemakings from Public Utility Commissions (PUCs), Attorneys General (AG), and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). •Conduct research and analysis and prepare regulatory summary information and compliance impact analyses with the State Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Compliance Manager, for SSE leadership review. •Actively facilitate and support State Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Compliance Manager in identifying compliance obligations resulting from new or revised regulations. •Assist with preparation and submission of required regulatory filings, including certification applications, renewals, annual reports, and periodic compliance reports. •Help maintain and update compliance policies, procedures, and internal documentation to align with regulatory requirements. •Assist in internal compliance audits, risk assessments, and follow-up actions to ensure corrective measures are implemented. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Political Science, Legal Studies, Economics, or related field. •Internship or co-op experience in a regulated industry, public utility, government agency, or compliance function. •2-4 years of experience in regulatory affairs, regulatory compliance, public policy analysis, utility regulation, energy markets, or related field. •4-7 years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, energy regulation, public utility matters, legal/regulatory analysis, or related field.
