Hiring: Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Facilities Coordinator Company: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Location: Charlotte, NC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 11:09:24 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Accessibility, Microsoft Office, Program Management About the job Experience: •Minimum of two (2) years of related experience, such as experience related to disability rights, civil rights, or compliance programs, preferred Required Skills: •Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures •Coordinate and monitor district-wide compliance with Title II of the ADA •Identifies barriers to accessibility, and recommends remedial action to determine if facilities comply with federal and state laws regarding accessibility requirements •Collaborate on all new and altered buildings and facilities, to ensure compliance with ADA Standards for accessible design •Serve as the district's primary contact and liaison regarding ADA compliance questions, concerns and initiatives •Conduct site visits, as requested and needed, to evaluate compliance related to accessibility and building or program access •Coordinate, conduct, and implement district-wide evaluation of programs, services, and activities to ensure ADA compliance and accessibility for all students, staff, and visitors •Receive, investigate, and evaluate requests for accommodation and modification for access to the physical facilities of schools and campuses, their playgrounds, athletic fields and stadiums, and administrative facilities Qualifications: •To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
