Hiring: Air Intake System Design Engineer Company: Stefanini North America and APAC Location: Auburn Hills, MI Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 11:10:27 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly, AutoCAD, CAD, Six Sigma About the job Experience: •Must be able to lead and manage Suppliers •Must be able to manage multiple concurrent activities •Some domestic and international travel (generally between the United States, Canada, and Mexico) •Supplier and Corporate vehicle or engine assembly plants,proving grounds, and/or technical centers Required Skills: •Design, develop and validate air intake systems for internal combustion engine and hybrid electrified vehicles. Components include various types of low-pressure clean and dirty side ducts, air cleaners, make-up air hoses, and other related items including resonators, air filters, and brackets. High pressure charge ducts may also be included. Qualifications: •Solid functional working knowledge of air intake systems and components •Demonstrated capacity to proactively communicate with others - including teammates, stakeholders and supervisor •Demonstrated capacity to effectively operate independently in a remote or hybrid office/remote workplace •General knowledge of CAD design •General knowledge of spreadsheets and building presentations •Demonstrated capacity to create and apply component and system DFMEAs and DVP&Rs •5 years or more experience with air intake systems or related engine and vehicle level testing •Green belt or equivalent experience in DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) proactive and/or reactive quality tools •Operational familiarity with powertrain software and controls •Solid functional working knowledge of UG/NX CAD systems Compensation: •Flexible work environment (work from home / hybrid options) Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
