Hiring: Aerial Sensor Operator Company: Woolpert Location: Dayton, OH Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 14:32:52 Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Office About the job Required Skills: •Woolpert is hiring an Topographic Aerial Sensor Operator to join our dynamic Aerial Acquisitions team based out of our Dayton office. This position reports to the Geospatial Team Leader and is responsible for sensor operation and reporting for airborne mapping missions. •MUST be willing to travel on a rotating travel schedule of 21 days on and 14 days off with both domestic and international travel required. •We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located. •Participate in ground and flight operations efforts as needed, including mission planning, execution, briefing, debriefing, communications, and safety. •Ensure proper collection of data for accuracy and quality. •Understand the collection of tactical and wide area mapping. •Comply with all governing regulations and work in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. •Download, edit, and troubleshoot collected sensor data while in the field. Set up and operate ground GPS base stations and flight planning. Qualifications: •High School Diploma and/or G.E.D. or two (2) years of related experience, degree in GIS, geography, or related discipline preferred. •Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship.
