Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will have an interactive role with the Management team while providing support for all employees on the site. •Facilitate safety and operational orientation for new hires, ensuring compliance with training requirements. •Partner cross-functionally with employees and management to develop and maintain career development plans and training needs. •Conduct mill safety reviews, investigations, and audits, monitoring compliance with corporate safety directives. •Lead divisional safety practices, including chairing safety committee meetings and promoting participation in health and safety practices. •Provide guidance, training, and support for trainers, while fostering excellent employee relations and addressing inquiries about policies and procedures. •Coordinate environmental responsibilities, including conducting tests and samples, maintaining records, and supporting audits in collaboration with Canfor’s environmental team.
