All three mobile units function as extensions of the Mecklenburg County Public Health department in our community. •This is a hybrid position with variable working hours Monday – Saturday with potential to flex hours, not to exceed a 40-hour work week. •Mecklenburg County Public Health | 2845 Beatties Ford Rd | Charlotte, NC28216 •Ensure compliance with agreement addenda requirements and agency policies and procedures for STI, Family Planning, Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP), Rapid ART, PrEP, Tb/Refugee and/or Colposcopy programs •Obtain and review patient histories and perform physical exams and assessments •Formulate care plan and provides patient counseling and education •Order and review lab-work and diagnostic tests •Prescribe medication and determine patient follow up Qualifications: •2 years’ Advanced Practice Provider experience •Knowledge of Strong medical assessment skills •Guidelines for care according to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Title X, CDC guidelines, and Division of -Public Health Agreement Addenda •Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Service standards •Maintain Medical Board License as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. •Obtain and maintain national certification as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. •Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) by the American Heart Association that is valid for at least 90 days after hire. •Obtain required FEMA certifications (upon hire if not already obtained).
