Eligibility to be privileged and credentialed through the Medical Staff Office (MSO). - State of Illinois •Clinical experience in a related area of specialty. •Willing to be privileged and credentialed through UCM Medical Staff Office prior to start date. •Enter into written collaborative agreement with a collaborating physician upon hire. Required Skills: •Provide care as an Advanced Practice Provider qualified to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients under the supervision or alternate supervision of attending physicians. •Work collaboratively with attending physicians and medical trainees to ensure patient care is aligned with the highest standards. •Independently see patients in our inpatient setting. •Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, using advanced clinical skills to manage a caseload of patients. •Assess, diagnose, initiate delegated medical treatments, perform independent nursing interventions and evaluate care. •Provide a model of care that is shaped by theory, expanded by science, research and reflective practice and is identified by a holistic and comprehensive approach to the patients. •Attend multidisciplinary conferences of assigned disease area. •Manage the care of patients, including assessment, diagnosis and treatment for assigned patients. Qualifications: •Minimum requirements include a college or university degree from an accredited school/college. •Advanced degree. •Once licensed and as needed, apply for a mid-level practitioner controlled substance license and DEA number.
