As an Advanced Materials Characterization Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be specializing in Material Characterization, with our innovative engineering team. •Report directly to our Mechanical Design Engineering Manager in our Phoenix, AZ site on a hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F. •Material Characterization: Perform comprehensive material characterization studies, utilizing techniques such as microstructure analysis, mechanical testing, and data modeling to understand the properties and behaviors of materials used in mechanical designs. •Design Guidance: Integrate insights gained from material characterization to develop guidance for the design process to optimize the mechanical properties and overall performance of components, ensuring durability and reliability in challenging environments. •Testing and Validation: Conduct experimental testing to validate material performance under various loading conditions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. •Troubleshooting: Investigate material performance issues to identify root causes, leveraging advanced analytical techniques.
