The role also supports ongoing professional development through progress toward actuarial examinations. •Partner cross-functionally with business partners (e.g., Claims, Underwriting, Product) to support pricing, filings, and profitability work; ask questions to understand how assigned work ties to business priorities •Support actuarial analyses for assigned lines (e.g., workers’ compensation and/or commercial auto), including data preparation, basic rate level indication support, trend summaries, and segmentation studies. •Support rate and regulatory filings by assembling exhibits, summaries, and supporting documentation; ensure results tie out and are review-ready •Use actuarial techniques and available tools (e.g., Excel, data extraction/query tools, internal systems) to extract, validate, manipulate, and analyze data, with hands-on support and review •Complete assigned tasks accurately within established timelines; communicate questions, issues, or delays early •Maintain clear documentation and workpapers so another analyst can understand, recreate, and review the work product •Perform peer review of other assistant/analyst work as assigned, focusing on basic checks (reasonableness, tie-outs, completeness, and documentation) Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, or related field •At least 1-2 CAS exams are strongly preferred. Prior internship or relevant P&C pricing experience are a plus •Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability of results •Demonstrated capacity to communicate results and assumptions •Results-oriented with the ability to adjust priorities when necessary •IT and statistical skills are highly valued.
