Hiring: Accountable Manager - Avionics Part 145 Repairs Station Company: SkyWarrior Flight Training Location: Pensacola, FL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-12 10:15:29 About the job Required Skills: •Serve as the primary point of contact with the FAA, especially the Principal Maintenance Inspector (PMI), and ensure ongoing compliance with Part 145 regulations specific to avionics repair and installation. •Ensure SkyWarrior’s Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and Training Program accurately reflect all avionics capabilities and are updated, implemented, and followed. •Oversee day-to-day operations of the avionics repair station, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient completion of all work scopes including troubleshooting, repair, testing, bench work, installations, and system certifications. •Provide leadership and guidance to avionics technicians, inspectors, and administrative staff while promoting SkyWarrior’s culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement. •Ensure all personnel performing avionics maintenance are properly trained, qualified, and current per SkyWarrior’s training program and FAA requirements. •Manage repair station resources, tooling, test equipment, calibration programs, and technical data to support all approved avionics capabilities. •Oversee internal audits, corrective actions, and root-cause analysis to maintain a strong quality system and prevent recurrence of issues. •Address and resolve FAA findings, customer concerns, and quality discrepancies effectively and promptly. Qualifications: •Strong operational knowledge of FAA Part 145 requirements with an emphasis on avionics repair, test, and installation. •Prior management or supervisory experience in an avionics maintenance environment required. •In-depth understanding of avionics systems, troubleshooting procedures, and applicable technical data. •Excellent organizational, leadership, and regulatory communication skills. •Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with FAA inspectors, vendors, customers, and SkyWarrior leadership. •Preferred: FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) or FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL).
