Hiring: ABL, Business Development Associate Company: FGI Location: New York, NY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 20:51:31 Employment Type: Internship Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Office About the job Required Skills: •Actively facilitate and support business development team with day-to-day activities, prospecting efforts, and pipeline management. •Research and identify new leads, referral sources, and market opportunities. •Assist with outreach to banks, investment banks, private equity firms, asset-based lenders, and other referral partners. •Help coordinate one-on-one meetings, prospect calls, networking events, and client-facing opportunities. •Prepare presentations, marketing materials, meeting notes, and follow-up communications. •Attend industry events and networking opportunities to help build FGI’s presence in the market. •Partner with internal business development and deal teams to support early-stage prospect discussions. •Under supervision, assist in structuring and discussing preliminary terms with prospects. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; finance, business, marketing, or communications majors preferred. •Strong interest in commercial finance, lending, business development, or relationship management. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. •Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through. •Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. •Comfortable using Microsoft Office and other business software tools. •Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. •Demonstrated capacity to travel regionally as needed. •Relevant internship or work experience in finance, sales, marketing, business development, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
