Hiring: 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor - Operation Management Company: GE Aerospace Location: Loves Park, IL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 13:56:55 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly, Lean Manufacturing About the job Experience: •Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 1 years of professional experience OR associate’s degree with minimum of 3 years of professional experience OR a high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience •1 years of professional experience OR associate’s degree with minimum of 3 years of professional experience OR a high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience Required Skills: •2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor - Operation Management •Demonstrated capacity to work 2nd shift schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 10-hour days, starting at approximately 4:30 PM Central. •Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, and production targets •Supervise, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 hourly employees across machining, assembly, and lab operations •Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement •Monitor production flow and operational performance to ensure reliability and consistency on the line •Partner with production planning to execute schedules and meet customer and business commitments •Ensure compliance with quality standards and drive corrective actions when needed Qualifications: •People leadership experience in a manufacturing environment •Demonstrated capacity to make independent decisions in a fast-paced operating environment •Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive execution, and solve problems in a production setting •Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills •Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods •Operational familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards in aerospace or other highly regulated industries •Demonstrated capacity to analyze production data and use insights to improve operational efficiency •Proven ability to motivate teams, develop talent, and build a strong performance culture •The base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
