Hiring: 16269 - Senior Cybersecurity Specialist - AZ - On Site Company: Vensure Employer Solutions Location: Chandler, AZ Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 14:39:38 Employment Type: Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : AWS, Azure, Bash, GCP, GDPR, HIPAA, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, PowerShell, Python, SIEM, Terraform About the job Experience: •Two (2) or more years’ experience as a cyber security engineer, system administrator, or system/cloud engineer. •Strong knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection software and business systems (i.e. M365/Google). •Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, and ISO). •Operational familiarity with software development practices and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, bash, Terraform) for task automation •Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to learn other applications as needed. Required Skills: •Assess, enhance, and design security architecture needs at scale in a complex acquisition driven environment •Assist in the planning and implementation of enterprise security solutions for hybrid enterprise and application environments •Review and validate detected vulnerabilities and risks to the enterprise •Determine the operational impacts of cyber security control failures •Develop, track, and present cyber security statistics and metrics for assigned area •Respond to security breaches and incidents, by supporting less tenured cyber security personnel •Communicate business impacts and work directly with cyber leadership on recommended remediation steps •Develop and approve changes to cyber security procedures and systems Qualifications: •Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies. •Strong knowledge of identity security principles •Solid functional working knowledge of Azure\AWS cloud environment configuration •Foundational understanding of incident response •Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate risks. •Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. •Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. •Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with cross-functional groups. •Demonstrated capacity to train and assess less tenured security staff on skills associated with team roles •Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of experience, skills, and education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training programs) preferred.
